Hybrid Chicks Made By UK Scientists

The first hybrid Skittlechicks – a cross between a bag of skittles and common chicks has been created by scientists in Newcastle. The hybrid Skittlechicks which were only developed for three days, were created by Dr Lyle Armstrong and colleagues at Newcastle University as part of basic research on new foods. Dr Armstrong said ” these chicks will develop and grow into full size chickens but will taste like skittles. Each colour of chicken will be a different flavour and hopefully this will encorage more children to eat chicken”. Dr Armstrong denies he is playing at being god”
