Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 British Grounded Due To Errors

Hotly anticipated video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 went on sale at stores across the UK. Online retailer Amazon said pre-orders of the controversial title were already higher than any previous video game.

The first-person shooter sees the combat team travelling to Russia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Brazil in an attempt to thwart the terrorists.

Some people did manage to get their hands on the game early after shops broke the sales embargo. Unfortunately for British game players the long wait has ended in despair.

46 year old Ken Stott from Manchester was one of the lucky few to get his hands on the new game before the official launch. We asked Ken how he felt about being one of the first in Britain to own the new Call of Duty game.

“I cannot express how I feel to be honest with you. It’s not because I am so excited but more because of my inability to show emotion outside of a video gaming environment.”

Other’s who have bought the new game expressed their disappointment.

“I chose to lead a British combat team heading to Afghanistan. We climbed aboard a British helicopter only to be told we were grounded as it had broken down and the ground crew didn’t have the correct spare parts to fix it.

One of my friends managed to get to Afghanistan only to find out his combat team had no armoured vehicles, incorrect weaponry and no support helicopters. I think this time they may have made the British units in the game too realistic!”
