End of the world believers are to meet up in the next 6 months to iron out a contingency plan should 2012 come and go without a whimper it was announced today.

Followers of the Mayan prophesy are looking forward to the convention to be held in New Orleans mid February 2011 organisers have confirmed.

The ancient Mayans, based on star charting, prophesied that December 21, 2012 would be the end of the world (or at least some form of universal catastrophe).

Professor Albert Fish confirmed today that the convention should be a good one. “It looks like everyone can look forward to a fantastic weekend of doom and gloom with like minded people.”

Organisers have confirmed that children are welcome to attend the weekend event.

Expo manager, William N Radamus confirmed, “Parents are more than welcome to bring along their children to the event. The earlier we can get children worried about their impending death the better. There are far too many happy go lucky teenagers out there and hopefully we can scare the bee Jesus out of them all in February.”
