Republican National Convention To Be Delayed Due To Looming Storm Clouds
The Republicans have decided to delay by a day discussions at their national convention in Florida because of the threat of Tropical Storm Akins. The gathering would convene on Monday but then would be immediately postponed until Tuesday, the National Committee chairman Reince Priebus announced.
It’s tropical storm weather in Florida but due to the backlash that Storm Akin has created, weather forecasters are predicting things could get very nasty indeed. Senior Republican officials are concerned over the size of the dark clouds looming ahead of Mitt Romney’s nomination as the Republican presidential candidate.
The delay will give Storm Akin time to hopefully blow itself out and allow Storm Romney to proceed as planned towards Washington D.C. instead.
